Katherine Thiboutot
Speech Language Pathologist & Educational Advocate
I started my private practice to fulfill my career dreams. Since I began my career in 1997, I have learned that the IEP process is a game. To get your child what they need…you need to know the rules. Let my expertise learned over 27 years, teach you the rules.
My journey as a speech language pathologist began many moons ago. I participated in speech therapy from kindergarten to 6th grade. I loved it. I loved the special attention and I loved my SLP, Ms. Glissen. In college, while telling a story about my beloved Ms. Glissen, a thought occurred to me. Imagine if I could make a child feel so loved that the mere thought of you brought them joy. That would be a life well lived. I switched majors, completed my schooling and started my career in the school setting. Thus my school persona of Ms. Kate began.
Over the years, I have genuinely loved each and every student. I have advocated for them, but my role as a school based speech language pathologist, my influence is limited. So that sparked my dream of advocating for families from the other side of the table.
It would be my pleasure to work with your child and your family.
